I would like to welcome you to the Panmure Primary School community.

Panmure Primary School has a strong tradition built around building positive relationships between school, the community, students and parents.  Take a walk around the grounds at recess and lunch and you will find our wonderful students from Prep to Grade Six playing together, supporting one another and establishing life long friendships.

Every student of our school is provided with a stimulating and caring environment to learn in.  Children are given every opportunity to reach their full potential, using their preferred learning styles to showcase their knowledge and skills.  All students are also supported to improve in areas of need through additional assistance programs and a personalised learning environment.

We value the different knowledge and skills that all members of the community bring into the school.  Our school is a happy and caring place built around the core values of respect, responsibility, honesty, doing my best, care and compassion.

Please feel welcome to come in and discuss any matter with me, my door is always open.

Mark Antonio

Principal

At Panmure Primary School we strive to sustain a school community which works in partnership to provide a caring, structured environment where each child is encouraged to reach their full potential.

It is located 25 kilometres east of Warrnambool on the Princes Highway.  The children who attend the school are drawn from a twenty kilometre radius around the Panmure district.

This renovated historic country school has been providing quality education to the children of Panmure and surrounding district for over 130 years.

The six-roomed school is set in attractive and spacious grounds featuring landscaped gardens, native trees, excellent playground facilities (including 3 play areas) and a fully developed school oval.

For the pupils, our school is a happy, safe and friendly one.  The school actively encourages caring and responsible attitudes which serve to make it a special place for children to learn and prepare for their secondary education.  It has a strong family atmosphere across the school.  The schools values of Mutual Respect, Personal Best, Appreciations / No Put Downs, Right to Pass and Attentive Listening are integrated into all aspects of learning.

A rich and extensive cross-curricular program supports the Strands, Disciplines and Domains of VELS, thereby providing many opportunities for all children to develop and explore their special talents and abilities.  We aim to maximise the individual potential of each child.  Enrichment programs such as the MARC library, swimming, camping, inter-school sport and athletics, a house system and school captaincy, arts shows and public performance concerts are offered to the students to enhance their learning opportunities.

To promote learning, the school is committed to providing and maintaining up-to-date technology and resources in all classes.  Specialist teaching is provided in Physical Education, Music and the Arts, LOTE, Reading Recovery and special Literacy Intervention programs are put into place when needed.  We are very proud of the Arts program offered at Panmure, with children having the opportunity to learn an instrument from years 3-6, all are involved in singing.
